The rick rubin industrial complex is so strange to me. Helping the dark lords of capitalism feel and look like Rock Stars and Buddhas. He built his career shaping the voices of iconoclasts (Run-DMC, Metallica, Johnny Cash) who wanted to overthrow the system, now he's enshrined in the King's Court, helping oligarchs feel like the artists they never had the b@lls to become. What a strange life indeed.
