Sandbox Percussion and Ensemble Foundations

Ian Rosenbaum co-founded Sandbox Percussion in 2011 with Terry Sweeney, Jonny Allen, and Victor Caccese after meeting in graduate school.[1][11] The ensemble's mission is to commission and perform new percussion music, inviting composers to 'play in the percussionists' sandbox.'[6] They explore the vast potential of percussion instruments, having 'only scratched the surface.'[11]
